Sotto Sopra, located in Mt. Vernon, features fine contemporary Italian cuisine at an affordable price. Chef and owner Ricardo Bosia is a native of Italy and believes in interchanging ideas with other restaurant chefs to develop new and creative dishes; thus, every 18 months, the chefs of Sotto Sopra meet with other chefs to share cuisine ideas that eventually lead to the dishes offered at this restaurant. |
Sotto Sopra offers both a lunch and dinner menu. The lunch menu features salads and appetizers, as well as paninis, pasta dishes, and risotto.
In addition, the lunch menu includes meet and seafood dishes such as Chicken Milanese and Honey-Lavender Salmon, as well as two types of pizzas.
The dinner options at Sotto Sopra also include appetizers and salads, as well as pastas, risotto, meat, and seafood. However, the dinner menu offers more unique dishes such as lobster ravioli and filet wrapped in prosciutto. |

The atmosphere at Sotto Sopra is casual; however the large murals and mirrors that hang on the walls give it an aristocratic and romantic feel. The tables are all decorated with long candles and the room is lined with large windows with warm red curtains, which add to the romantic ambience.

Dining prices are very flexible, making it possible for guests to enjoy a meal for as low as $8.00 or as high as $42.00.
In addition, Sotto Sopra offers several special events per month including a three-course tasting menu on Wednesdays and a four-course tasting menu every second Tuesday of the month!
Another special feature offered at Sotto Sopra is a wine list of over 100 wines from different regions of Italy, carefully defined by Danilo Bosio, an experienced wine director.

An upscale casual dress code is appropriate when dining at Sotto Sopra. In addition, reservations are highly recommended and can be made over the phone. Sotto Sopra is open Mondays through Thursdays from 11:30am-10:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30am-11:30pm, and Sundays from 5:30pm-9:00pm.
